Heyyy, I was just wondering if any of you have experiences to share on moving out of the house for stuff like studies.

I'm going to be moving out when the new school year starts in September because I'll be studying Oriental Languages and Communications (Japanese and English language among others) on the other side of the country. It's a 4 hour drive with public transport so I have to go find a room there but I was just wondering if anyone here is going to, or has already done something like this and what his or her expriences were (both good and bad). <--- It's for 4 years BTW xD

I'm still getting used to the idea of having to clean up after my own ass all the time... Let alone be able to actually do it when the time comes.^^

And yes I can cook some, I can clean etc. I can DO it, but WANTING to do it is a different thing. Which is what I'll have to get used to. :/

hate having to clean my damn house every damn day, lock the doors, take out trash on certain days, its a pain in the ass when all the little things keep adding on.

The freedom is pretty cool, you don't have anyone telling you what to do or anyone bothering you about anything. It's good to know how to cook so you don't have to eat fast food for almost a year like I did. If you don't know how to cook just try it, it's actually pretty easy after a few mistakes are made.

At first I used to clean my room every day, but as time went on and I became loaded with work I started doing it less and less. I'm a master at messing stuff up, so if I clean up and order my room it's probably a mess by the next day XD. I still try to clean as much as possible though.

Just don't worry about it, I was kinda nervous when I decided to move out, and it was kinda hard at first figuring out everything. But you quickly get the hang of it and realize it's awesome living on your own.

Cleaning up after yourself is a small price to pay for freedom. Moving out and living on my own is now just a tiny dot in my rear view mirror... and it's something that a person should want to do as soon as they can.

Are you going to be living alone, renting a room, or living with roommates? living with other people can make it a little more complicated, but less expensive..

move in with a few women, it really helps. They actually pay rent and most times keep things tidy. Pick up after yourself and clean the bathroom or bathtub and they will love you forever. Trust me, best thing i did. I had birthday parties, chirstmas foods and other pro benefits. good luck!

I haven't decided yet, I prefer to live alone or at least without any other students cuz cleaning up after myself is hard enough as it is. I don't want a bunch of playboy-drunkards making it any worse. ^^
