Hello from Japan

Hi there!

For those who may have missed me for the last few days, I was busy preparing for my departure to this country

Arrived here last May 7 in the evening amid the stormy weather. Good thing our plane was not attacked by the dreaded microburst.

So I will be living here in Japan for the next few months., Am not new to the culture, been here 4 (1 long and 3 extremely short) times before so I've already adjusted.

My companions here have brought me to interesting places, specially where I can get anime dvds at a very good bargain! (of course it will all be RAW format), and I've already bought an interesting item for my good friend (she wanted a Binchoutan menchandise) for a very very good price of JPY 150.

Have no problems communicating with people here, thanks to the basic Japanese language that I studied before, and coupled with constant exposure to the language (that's where anime and some Jdramas comes in and that's why I INSIST on SUBS or RAW).

The funny thing though is that as part of my duties here I am to teach our Japanese staff some important english phrases so they can use at work specially when dealing with foreigners, so it'll be a bit of a challenge.

I'll still be continuing studying the japanese language of course so that I can interact with them properly.

So until the next time.... and maybe post some pictures too.

Hello! Thanks for your replies.

I just came from back from work. Japanese have a habit of working really long hours. So those scenes in some anime that the father arrives late from work, that holds true here.

For the pictures, I'll try to get more as we approach the week end. In the mean time these are what I can upload....

This is a picture at one of the expressway stops at around 6:30AM last friday, I was focusing on the mountains.... We stopped there to eat breakfast and let out some fluids (you know what I mean)...

Here's a sample of the cars parked at one of our parking lots. I'll try to get more meaner cars...there are a lot of them here.

And here's a picture of what I've already bought here...anybody can remember what is the name of the character and from what anime?

I took this pictures using my celphone of which apparently I forgot to set it to global roaming so I just use it as digital camera and MP3 player.

So that's it for now...I still have some homework to do.... until the next time...
