Hey people, I'm at Japan right now staying at Ikebukuro hotel. This is my second time going to Japan and its pretty damn cold here.

So, I'm having trouble right now what to buy at Akiba (Akihabara). I'm sure that you guys know or heard of Akiba so, you would know what kind of place it is. My first priority was to buy any merchandise/goods related to Angel Beats! so I bought Nendroid Petit trading figures for starters:

It seems that there are no Angel Beats! PVC figures (proper ones) right now and the only proper one I saw was in the UFO catcher which pretty much impossible to get it -_-;; (200yen per play)

Also, I plan to buy VN: Steins;Gate and AXANAEL both by Nitro+ (the company that made Chaos;HEad)

And I also plan to buy magazines such as Newtype, Comptiq, Dengeki G's and NyanType.

And lastly, I plan to buy a headset and a earphone

So far, these are what I plan to buy... however, I don't know what else to buy which will last long and statify me when I get back home.

So my question is, what should I buy in Akiba that is worth it?? coz here everything is pretty much expansive and I don't want something that will not satisfy me when I go back... or changing the question, when you guys go to Akiba what are you going to buy??

P.S for the earphone and headset, where should I go?? I plan to go to HMV at Shibuya but if anyone know any place in Tokyo that sells good earphone or headset please tell me tnx

Nice im jealous of you being in japan haha. You should go see BAD, he is over there somewhere haha not sure if its near tokyo or not though. Im not much of an collector or anything but i would probably be taking a lot of pictures >

If I want something, I need to import it, and this is rather expensive to get it in Europe.

If i was in Akihabara (Like i wish i could be for just 10 minuts!) i would run around looking for merchandise and posters of To Love Ru and The World Only God Knows. If there still was any, i would go for some Kamen No Maid Guy aswell.

Don't really know about the headsets and earphones. Why not just order one of each over the internet? Or is it some special headset/earphones you'll need?

Oh I see, your a fan of To Love Ru and God Knows haha, I saw plenty of those related goods and merchandise and I'm sure that your itching to come here and buy those right now!! (P.S no Kamen Rider Goods, they are old, thus many shops don't have them right now)

Haha, I understand your feeling yeah you feel like running around buying all merchandise and goods of your favourite anime. But yeah, there is this thing called "limit" and this stops you going for shopping spree. For me, I bought a lot of figures and posters last time but my family didnt't like it so I dumped most of it under my bed storage -_-;; Now, I'm planning to buy something that is worth it and useful. And you know what? I'm holding my temptation for shopping spree right now ;;
Can't be helped though... plus unless your a full-devoted hardcore otaku, buying all those "stuff" is waste of money. Of course, that dosen't mean you can only buy one thing but, just take it moderation

ur lucky...if i were u i would buy dozen anime stuff and come back with full package...and sell some for my anime freaks friends...

order some HD 280's when you get back home they're great and I'd buy as many magazines and as much manga as i could if i was over there, and then i'd be forced to learn Japanese >.>

Haha, that's a good idea buying a bunch of anime goods and selling it to your friend... I'm pretty sure you can get reasonable profit from it

However, all my anime freaks/otakus buy their stuff from online so its pretty much useless unless they ask me to buy something for them... which this time they didn't say anything.

Oh are those good headphones?? I don't really have specific taste in headphones/earphones but if they are good/stylish/unique I will certainly look for one

And yeah, I'm planning to buy latest mags and manga as well.

Any other stuff that you would buy when you go to Akiba??

Haha, you should come to Japan if you have a chance. It's great!!

Yeah, taking pics are good but most of the stores does not allow you to take pics for some reasons -_-;; and I got denied couple times when I tried to take pics inside the stores... the only way you can take pics is to sneak but its pretty risky though...
