And I think Arcueid's route is quite good especially her true end. Ciel's route is also good. Well, apart from her ending that is. While the Tohno family routes is excellent through and through. Da Capo have many routes. Some of it kinda rubbish, but most of them are actually quite enjoyable. And it's definitely better than the anime. There's quite a few routes in there that really touches your emotion. So yeah, I can recommend it to you. |

Like I said, I got bored with it. Maybe they were excellent, but it didn't appeal to me. |

Lemme think, when is Tohno Shiki got really overpowered... First of all, when killing Arcueid. He launches a surprise attack to Arcueid, and at that time everything just goes on very, very smoothly. As Arcueid said if the killing method was made into a painting, it would be a masterpiece. Arcueid was very vulnerable on daylight so it also adds to the equation. This one is a one-off perfect situation that only occur once. Same method of attack wont work on Arcueid anymore.
Second, when he fights against Nero Chaos. He was beaten half-dead when fighting with him, not to mention he almost got devoured alive. But the opponent makes a mistake by trying to kill him slowly, so he got a chances to counter-attack and eventually won. After the fight he collapse because of the numerous injuries he suffered. So how can you said he is too powerful? He fights to the death and almost got himself killed. Next, when fighting with Ciel in her route. Ciel totally overpowers him and just seconds away from getting stabbed by the Seventh Holy Scripture. Definitely Shiki is not being badass here, am I right? Next, when fighting Roa. This one he really dominates his opponent. But he uses his power with some cost: a brain-frying headache that threatens to turn him into a vegetables. He also can't deactivate his eyes and that alone put much strain to his brain. Did Ryougi Shiki experience that? No. Next one, when he fights Akiha in the Tohno family route. Akiha, without a shadow of doubt, overwhelms Shiki. She can use her power 'Plunder' just by using her sights. In fact, Shiki has lost function of one of his hands due to Akiha's attack. Without proper planning and again, a surprise attack, he can't even get close to Akiha. Does this indicates Shiki being overly powerful? Hurm... Surely not. Now I have given a proper explanation on this. I am more than happy to give more if you really insist. The conclusion is, your reasoning of him being overly powerful is definitely not correct. |
