Training....fuck no. Leveling up is hell in that game. Final Fantasy ain't got shit on Resonance of Fate's leveling system.

If you want a game thats hard, just dust off a NES and start popping in some cartridges. Ninja Gaiden, Battletoads, Ghosts'n Goblins, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, these games will make you shed tears of blood from raging so hard.

Being the type that only plays RTS games....I find Warcraft: Orcs and Humans difficult to beat in a custom game against the computer without cheating..

Of course that's because the enemy starts off with a fully functional base and all you get is a single farm and a town hall, so even if you start with an army....you won't be able to make any new units for a long time...and if you start without an army...you'll be overrun quickly because the enemy has a fully functional base and you do not.

Ikaruga on the Wii is friggin tough and I can beat Mushihimesama on the hardest difficulty. Ikaruga is tough because the black and white totally messes up your thinking when trying to dodge bullets.

Game overall... that's a little tough. Right now the worse I can think of would be Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne on Hard mode or Star Ocean on Universe/4-D/etc.

Hardest Boss: Demi-Fiend in Digital Devil Saga 2 (Hands-down for me. No explanations needed) though Indelcio Limiter Off/Iseria Queen in SO2 and Freya 4-D in SO3 is pretty close there
Hardest Dungeon: Unknown Dungeon in Star Ocean 2 (Whole dungeon. No save points for starters. Go Universe mode with those damn funny thieves with no Bunny Shoes. And if that wasn't enough, that was all for the right to even summon the toughest boss in the game.)
