Question Does anyone miss the age of Chrono Cross and RPGs? - 10-09-2009, 04:22 AM

I happened to be cleaning and I saw my ps 1 rpgs, and I saw chrono cross and parasite eve, final fantasy 7 and 8. I wondered are games as epic as them still coming out. What do you all think?

Tales of Vesperia, Xbox360 and Ps3. And Tales of Symphonia, Wii (Supposally, cause I haven't played it yet)

Edit: Playing Final Fantasy 9 in Japanese while I could barely understand english. Got to the end of the CD 3 twice since I was stuck at it and only finished the game when I played it again 3 years later on my PS2.

Never played chrono cross, but chrono trigger is one of the greatest ever.

Hell, I still remember playing parasite eve and FF7 and 8 when they first came out...

I miss the days of Square's PS1 RPGs. While FFX was fun and FFXII was alright, nothing holds a candle to FF9 to me (FF8 and then FF7 following close behind). We're now in the PS3/360/Wii generation and have been for years and Square has yet to release anything worthwhile.
