This is an easier topic to talk about on an anime forum because a majority of anime viewers do watch their shows illegally. I have plenty of DVDs and manga, but there is plenty of people - especially on this site - who would watch whatever they want without supporting it financially. That issue is for another discussion, but I personally like how a collection of games (or Anime) looks.

So, do you pirate anime? If you do, do you also pirate your video games? If you don't pirate games, but pirate anime what is the difference to you?

Try not to side step while walking backwards when answering this question. Even if it is to a third party seller - I feel my game would be more legit when money never reaches the origin. If I was crazy about Touhou games, I'd go down to Himeyashop.com and purchase them, but I am not. Many people use the excuse "I wouldn't have bought it in the first place" to pirate games, so I'd like to see if that is the common misguided rationale or if there is a more creative reason.

I watch unlicensed anime and I bought all the shows I've watched when they were licensed (I can't think of a single time where that was the case - always bought anime. If R2 was licensed in USA back when it was airing in Japan I streamed it anyways.). Needless to say, I do not pirate games.

i've got a collection of pirated ps2 games.....before my 360 died i also have some of the games which are pirate.......

I own like 300 pc games

the rest is not pirated, is downloaded

when I was a kid I loved playing Age of Empires 2... it was a pirate copy, of course. When Age 3 came out I was so excited that I bought myself the Collector's Edition xd
if it weren't for piracy I wouldn't have bought that. Also, prove to me that they spend more than 25 cents/year in publicity in my country... you see? they made money out of piracy.

same with anime. you said you like to buy the animes you like? well there you go. they're making money out of piracy.
