My opinion of Steam goes like this. One annoying, the one or two games I play that require steam has to be updated every time I try to play them. Which is inconvenient to say the least.
These attacks should be an eye opener to all the companies that want to start playing with cloud computing, that their security is inadequate to consider such a step at this time.

1. Ever hear of a botnet attack?
2. What do you mean his/her's PC is safe, it has norton installed, only differance in norton and adware, is that norton attempts to block spyware, trojans, etc. and blocks other companies adware.
EDIT: One more thing, Steam is hacked moderately often, by groups that make cracks for steam games, they have even had cracks released the same day or before the games release that should not be possible if they didn't already have a copy.
