I usually don't listen to music while playing video games as it distracts me especially since I usually only play RPGs. There are time though when I do play music, but only music that is related to the game somehow. An example would be Berserk: Millennium Falcon which I play on my PS2. Some of the levels are devoid of any soundtrack and thus I just play the Japanese song called "Forces" by Susumu Hirasawa. It motivates me to destroy as many opponent as possible since Berserk: Millennium Falcon is a hack and slash game of 100 upon 100 of enemies at once. As for fighting games, I usually just play bands such as Sirenia, Within Temptations, and The Birthday Massacre.
