When trying to access PlayStation Network using my Japanese account on MediaGo, I get this message: This service is not available in your country/region.

Any of you guys in Japan able to access it in Japan?

I've got the same message as well and I live in Australia.

I think it has to do with the latest hack fest. Sony changed a lot of the PSN anti-hack program etc... and for the Japanese PSN, I think they blocked every players who tries to use Japanese PSN OUTSIDE of Japan.

What a shame... I mean I still got some credit left in my account and I got like 3 Japanese PSN cards unused and this happened??

Anyway, I'm not sure so we'll see if anyone else have same problem.

EDIT: I've just contacted one of my friend in Japan and she was able to use to PSN I guess its only for those who's living outside of Japan.

Last I heard the Japanese government wasn't allowing the sony network to function in Japan. I don't think it is an issue on your end, but the fact that you're trying to connect to a network that isn't working right now.

Dammit, I've still got 5600 yen in my PSN account. Hope they don't delete the credits I still have.

I can't access it either and I live in asia. The asia one stinks, literally. Having the 30-day plus account thingy is completely useless and for some reason the free PS3 games are not available.

I thought I could at least get something from the japanese account >.<

Psn is up in japan but the login is region isolated and is looking like it will remain that way because the government is doubting the safety of the psn network.

Then again I can login to my Japanese account on PSN UK official site and activate Japanese account on my PSP just unable to get into the Japanese store

IIRC, its nothing to do with blocking. The Japanese government has yet to approve of the the J-PSN going back up, and therefore it is still offline.

Didn't you read chococya96's post? Japan locked down their PSN from people logging in from other countries other than Japan. People INSIDE Japan can still access it.
