I'm in the same boat here. I bought an xbox just to play the first halo, it was definitely worth it. The subsequent halo's got worse... but I've heard that ODST is great in comparison to 2 and 3 and the failwars + ODST.

Like everyone else, I thought the first halo was the best. Getting head shots with the pistol felt too good. Didn't enjoy the 2nd or 3rd that much. Imagine the fourth doesn't sell as well cause people are bored of the series. Would make my day.

well loved halo 1 on pc *looks at game case next to me* but whats with all this hating on halo 2, it was an amazing game it was the first decent fps on console aswell as that the ending looking back on it was lol. halo 3 was a bit shit, though i did spoil it for everying in highschool when i came into the dinner hall and shouted as u do "JOHNSON WHY". odst was shit and its only redeeming quality was fire fight and even then ..... wasnt very good. halo wars i found myself playing for the cut scenes

and reach .... cant say i care much for it. though in order of my fav multiplayer .... 1,2,3 then reach its like the multiplayer progressively got worse. *ends small rant* anyway halo 4 i agree with arthuriuss anything that contines the storyline that doesnt kill it is our friend

OT: i think that they maybe could have left this alone at H3, they should move on and make better original games...so sick of sequels...
