My p4 system used to run about 25 degrees idle, in the winter, and 30 in the summer. and when doing games it went up to 40 in the winter and 50 in the summer.

i7 920 C0 stepping @ 3.5Ghz, 1.4v. Idle: 34c Prime95 Small FFT's: 67c (20 minutes)
Water cooled, of course.

ish311, which TEC did you use and is it running on its own dedicated PSU? I've been thinking of wedging a TEC between the HK waterblock and my cpu for a while. I think it would be a great help to cooling.

BTW, the stock speeds and cooler at load exceeded 80c in a few seconds with Prime95 so I shut it down. It ran nearly 60c at idle! I should really look into a D0 stepping, this one is HOT!

Try saying that 10,000 times a day!
You'll go really insane and forget all your worries!

My Gcard runs hot, so I stay around 50* C the whole time *Gaming or idle* +/- 5* C.

I believe an average good CPU temp is in the 40*C's.
