Default The Hunger Games - 02-22-2010, 09:02 PM

I've been looking for some good books for teens, and I came across a series called The Hunger Games. It sounds pretty good, but I've talked to some of my friends and they say its supposed to be for children. Now from what I've heard and read about the book is that it's pretty messed up and doesn't sound like a childrens book but I'm wondering if anyone here has read the series and can tell me if they're any good? Can't find any copies in town, dunno why.

Ok, so I haven't been on for a while but i'd just like to say that the Hunger Games is one of the best books I've read in a really long time, and I'm sure the sequel will be as thrilling as the 1st. Awesome book, a must read.

I personally love the Hunger Games! It's set in a very interesting time and contains a lot of drama and the story develops quite fast as well. The characters are interesting, and I just love how much they have developed throughout the three books. Despite all the action, drama and blood, the author manages to throw in hints of romance here and there.

It's not really a series for children seeing that there are a lot of bloody events that are very detailed and well described.

Hm.
