I dunno why but something is telling me kinect is sa joke , you pay €150 there are no core games playable with it, and the games that are available are complete rubbish...
Is there any reason why microsoft thinks this is the way forward ???

cuz they want to make money, and will think if they bought kinect they will also buyt or crappy kinect ready games, so atleast they can play, not like they have a other way to buy those crappy games for the upgrade..

Gaming is about sitting on your couch relaxed and enjoy the game.
Kinect is about jumping around in your room like a retard until you get tired which will happen in 20 min.
So you decide, do you want to pay 150 euros to do exercises or do you want to enjoy the game.

Yah, it suck, only which it could be useful for is playing movies / select songs and such and voice commands, but the sucky is xbox does not allow most of the formats (-.-) so it's almost useless.... for now atleast you'll never know what comes next..

But... damn got smoke in my eye, use your hands to make the smoke disappear, and it'll probably go to the next song.... or something else happends....

The Voice commands seem interesting. Xbox On! Xbox OFF! And also the ability to change screens by moving your hands in the air, as you would on your touch seems interesting. Although I do admit there are limitations. I guess it's kinda like the Wii, some games will be great fun on it, some won't and will require the proper controller. The advantage is though, that the Xbox will be capable of both. Though the pricing of the Kinect makes the viability questionable, although HD webcams go for about that much anyways.

I'm sure most of us gamers could probably USE the exercise. Besides games that get you up and moving can be fun too, just look at how big the DDR craze was. That being said, unless they make some seriously awesome games that makes getting off your fat ass to play worth while, it'll just end up failing big time, and with no such games visible on the horizon, or even the forseeable future, I'm betting Kinect will be Microsoft's "Sega CD".
