At least leave the Japanese synchro in it >_> (I don't know why,but in each other language (except English and French), the characters have better dubs than in English, it sounds like they have only 4-5 people who give their voices to everything that comes over....)

The english VO doesn't sound bad at all, and yes the game comes with Japanese and other language audio on europe.

Looking at that gameplay, it's what a Pokemon consoles game should be minus the trainers getting hurt in battle.

After playing demo: Excitement level = Mehh

After reading a dozen reviews: Excitement level = High

After first hour of playing = Ehhh

After third hour of playing = Goodbye outside world

Just went out and bought it. I was going to preorder it a while back but it slipped my mind.

So far, there are only two "problems" I have with the game, but in time I probably will learn to accept them:

1. The Pokemon battles
2. A lead character that, in the world of Ghibli, is more Ponyo than Castle in the Sky. You're a little boy that uses a magic wand. Even Harry Potter would steal his lunch money.

I also am finding myself getting too sidetracked with the side quests. I feel obligated to finish them all before proceeding to the next area... and it's causing a detachment with the storyline. Because I've spent as much time on side quests as the actual game, I'll be traveling to a destination for the main story and realize I have completely forgotten why I'm supposed to go there.

lol thats what i was wondering now. I just made it to the dark forest and I read a bit of the wizards companion book and I saw a lot of mentions of things that may lead to sidequests. It seems this game has a lot of depth but something still seems lacking right now.

My least favourite Ghibli film, even though it's still good. I'll have to pick this up soonish.

I can say now that the game gets a lot more interesting once you get the ship and can sail around.

It's also at this point in the game that it starts getting rather difficult. It probably took me five tries before I finally beat the giant jellyfish boss... and I've completed every sidequest leading up to that battle, so it's not like I was underpowered.

ah okay. About to get on the boat now. I already hate this swaine guy but he can steal things so I guess there may be an easier way to get stardrops since Nothing drops them but those guys at the volacano but I only got like 1 out of farming it for 2 hours.

i noticed the monster strength went up a lot and I thought I was high leveled for the next set of quests.

I still haven't got the hang of counter attacks. Any trick to them?
