Default Watching anime on the PS3? - 03-01-2010, 09:27 AM

Does anyone else watch their anime on the PS3? I usually watch mine in the PC as most HQ anime are in mkv. But sometimes I get in the mood of converting them for my PS3 to watch later. If anyone wants it I can upload some that I've already converted.

If someone is watching anime on their PS3, should assume that they also know how to convert their files to compatible formats. Though most people don't have a clue and are too lazy to figure it out, so they just download PS3 compatible files ._.

I guess this will be my first post.
If you have your ps3 connected to internet via same router as your pc
Go to this site: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
Install the software on the computer
Add your Directory where your files are found
Ps3 will find it as a media server on the network.
It will play 98% of files. it does live transcode of MKV with subtitles.
If you have a good connection and a good PC you are set.
Anyway just give it a try.

I stopping using PS3 media server for my anime, video would freeze, I'd get errors during video. Softsubbed anime only worked under one option and the format of the subtitles was appalling.
