I'm planning to buy this game as I couldn't be bothered before, when it first came out.

At first, I was about to buy the North American version which, is all English (Audio + Text).

However, recently I've searched and found out that there is an Asian version where it contains Japanese dub with English/Chinese text. Though, I can't confirm whether it is true or not.
In addition, the Asian version have three releases:
- Japanese version
- English version
- English/Chinese version (This is the version I'm talking about)

Anyway, as you can see I prefer having Japanese dub though, if Japanese dub is not available than, I can get away with English...

On the side note, I can read Korean as well and the Korean version actually have Japanese dub with Korean texts. But, right now buying a Korean version is kind of hard (as the English sites don't sell them and the actual Korean sites are hard to buy from when your not living in Korea). So this one is out of hand I guess...

As a result, I just want an confirmation for the Asian version whether it has the Japanese dub with English subs or not. If it doesn't than, I'll just get the North American version Can't be helped I guess

The one you want is Final Fantasy XIII (Chinese Edition) (Normal Edition) (Asian Version). It has Chinese and English subs with Japanese audio. I don't think the other verions have English subs.

Also, for the subs its everything including the menus, descriptions, infos etc... like as in whole text?

i hav this chinese version. i can confirm it Jpn VA and Eng Sub..

But i dunno how to switch to CHN sub lol. cant find where the menu to change it. but it unrelated to me.
cause what i want is JAP VA and Eng SUb the best for me.

another hint. you can use save data from USA reg 1 ver or Eur Reg 2 ver to this Chinese reg 3 ver.
so you can continue ur adventure from another region to this reg 3 chn ver.

yup the whole thing is in eng with jp va...i also played the chinese version but there is about 2-3line that voice didnt come out (mouth movement and sub are there) mayb is just my disc =\. Vanille in Eng VA really annoys me

Except the fact that they have different audio and texts. The game itself should be same...

Just want to wait for more replies so I can finally confirm whether I should get the Asian version or just go for North American version.

Huh?? I don't get this and I don't think this applies to me as this is my first time buying...

Yup all same with Asian version having Jp voice and Eng text. so If u want eng voice get NA ver. or if u want Jp voice get Asian ver.

The english Vanille is terrible. I liked her character as long as she didn't speak. I thought everyone else's english VA's were alright. Some could even be considered really good, such as Lightning and Hope.

One other benefit to me is the english version uses an ending song that's much better than the original japanese song.
