I have a nice variety in 360 games. However I lack a fighter, should I get Street fighter 4, also if I'm not really a solid fan of the series would the special edition be worth a purchase?

If not, would someone recommend a good fighter game.

Dead or alive > street fighter

Tekken > all fighting games, although I hate the genre in general anyway xD

Tekken has more characters and less awesomeness in the fighting perspective.

Reason why DoA is superior

You can play as Nicole a spartan from haloseries, and you have an attack that sticks a plasma granade to your opponent, it's pretty badass

And the fighting in dead or alive is really smooth and you can perform awesome combos.

Can't say I played much street fighter but IMO the fighting felt pretty awkward

I was never a big fan street fighters cartoony look tbh, plus my housemate got it and it seems they jacked up the difficult terribly for 4. He was getting schooled and he was pretty pro at the previous one.

Well DOA4 is really old now, so really I can't see much online gaming to be had. If Naruto Rise of a Ninja is anything to go by then I'd probably play the same people over and over.

It's not right comparing DoA or Tekken with SFIV, Tekken and DoA fair enough, but not with SFIV, especially as Tekken is far from coming out >_>
SFIV is a really fun game if you play online a lot, especially now that most of t he rage quitters are gone
I say get it
Also there are still plenty of people on DoA online, so that's not a worry

That's why I haven't played it for so long, I know I'll be crap again like when I first started playing it online...ok maybe not that bad
Getting the combos back shouldn't take too long, just do a runthrough of their moves I guess

Yup, been doing a few "combacks". Just play sparring and survival to get a hang of it again.
