Urahara Kisuke is my choice even if is an ex-captain. Loved the fillers(?) which told a lot more about his background. And his bucket hat is a awesome combo with his Japanese traditional clothing. The hat makes the man.

BUT! If Kenpachi some day will be able to hear the voice of his Zanpakutou - and of course it turns out to be as awesome as I imagine it would be - I would probably change my mind.

The Turn Back the Pendelum arc that showed the history of Soul Society and the captains wasn't filler. It was actually a volume in the manga.

I liked that arc because it answered a lot of questions and it explained the reason behind Aizen's plans
