Every story can have elements of many different genre's, but the one that was followed through most of this seemed like Biblical Fiction. If the story had more or less focused JUST on the journey and battles you would have had my vote in a heart beat! I agree with everything TTally said! And just want to say again I loved it! And if it was more as TTally said it would have gotten my vote hands down. But as you mentioned you entered late and signed up late. Hopefully next time you'll have plenty of time to write it out more and I look forward to that time Yellow =]. I also see where you're coming from so that makes a lot of sense. I had notice that too, the more entries there after, lol. And the quality of One Soul was great, above all the others.

Theme: Oppression + Magic/Special abilities(/power)/Supernatural

Well I guess the Magic/Special abilities, etc are apart of "fantasy" so I guess you can leave that out?

To make sure I'm reading this right....

Does it need to include "magical abilities" or.... The 'oppression' is throwing me off- yay language barrier.

Yes, either magic or like esper powers, or something akin to either of those. Say Alchemy, etc.

As for the oppression, anything say like...a smaller ninja country being bossed around by a bigger one. Rebels fighting the government. Tyrannical king being unfair to the people.

Example: Group of people being oppressed by the government, in this world there is magic, they rise up and cause a rebellion, fighting with their magic or whatever power.

If this is too weird I can take out the oppression part .

Sorry for being difficult to understand <.<. I just noticed most of the SSOTM have been Free-Style. So I thought I'd do something different.

Ok I get it. I agree there's been a lot of Free Style and it will be nice to get away from that. The word "Oppression" when I looked it up just had a HUGE amount of meanings and I was confused.

lol, don't feel bad, I did too. I looked it up to make sure I had it right when I choose it. There we're a ton of definitions. 20-40 or so.
