Default G-Ssotm - 08-08-2010, 10:32 PM

The groups will be:

Archie & Yellow
TTally & Duratrix
Fatentity & Ghost
Baka Baka & Risuzu

(Please welcome your partner! )[Groups were selected randomly, I swear it!]

If anyone has any problem at all with their partner you have 3 days to PM me and request a new group, you don't have to state why. Dura & I will pair you with someone else.
If you sense even the slightest this might not work, contact us, I would rather not have everyone half way through and a group fall apart.

As of this writing Romance & Comedy/Parody had the highest votes, so we will choose between them. I'll wait about 3 days, I would like to get this all started within 5 days from now (Friday). [Once all members vote, will put up the actual G-Ssotm #1 and begin!]

Contacting/Working with a partner
You need to get into contact with your G-Ssotm partner sometime this week(SOON!). After, you can either use PM/comments to communicate, post in Ssotm Discussion, or trade emails to chat on a IM together (Or AT IRC?). Whatever works best for you. PM's have a max of 5,000 words. Or set a date (Every friday?) to exchange work/progress. Something!!! Don't leave your buddy hanging please.

Suggestions on How to Write G-Ssotm

1. Talk it out step by step, discussing and writing the story together piece by piece. [Hard Mode]

2. Take turns writing, but discus how the story should go, but let each person write their own section/scene. (Example: Person A writes the begging, the cops inside the station, next scene, the cops are outside in their patrol car, Peron B writes about that. 3rd Scene cops are arresting someone, Person A writes about this, and so on). [Interesting Mode]

3. One person writes character description, traits, personality, etc, and even how the setting will look of the story (Detailed description of the places events happen). The other person takes all these info/notes and writes a story from it. [Creative Mode]

4. Whatever suits you best, these are only suggestions but I recommend these should be your priority:

A. Discus with your partner first how this should be done. (The work/writing/Updating each other)
B. Then the story/plot, what both of you think/would like to write, then decide where to go from there.
C. Characters
D. Start writing...keep in touch with each other. You should never go more than a week without some kind of information being exchanged.
E. ???
F. Profit

Deadline: Middle of October. This means you have 8 weeks to make a perfect story, not 6 to procrastinate *Baka Baka <3*, and 2 to start writing.

I hope all of that helps everyone. Ask questions if you have any! Discus! Thoughts?

I think this should be quite interesting! There's so many ways to do this, either Co-Op, doing it bit by bit together, agreeing on everything/compromising. Or splitting it 1/2 & 1/2 (One does 2 characters, other does 2 characters) and combining. Or your own personal way that works for you.

I can't wait for the entries

Well, unless the three people who haven't voted vote for romance, I think we're doing comedy.

I'll send everyone a message tomorrow reminding them to vote. Since as you said...all 3 could vote Romance. Then I'm not sure what to do. I suppose...we could do something new, if there is a tie, let each group choose which Genre they would like and let it be a mixed genre competition, lol.

I think trying to make a story that is both Romance and Comedy/Parody would be too difficult, at least I don't think I could do it. Allowing the group their choice isn't a bad idea, if we tie.

But let's not have a tie, and keep this simple :].

Considering the rules, I don't think doing romance + comedy when the genre is only romance or only comedy wrong...is it o.o? I mean, it's still in boundary, IMO.

Actually, that is a valid point in a way. I would just rather not have to do romance at all....

Romance is a nice topic to do. But romance by itself is a little boring. Adding in a little comedy would make the story better. :3

Not really... While I hate Romance, those are the types of fanfiction's I read all the time. So while I enjoy that genre.... I don't want to write it much. Maybe I can make my partner do that part..... Oh Duuuuraaaa...!
