That would make too many awesome movies. And here I was wishing my story is a manga, because I have no idea what to write the fights. o.o

1. My culture. I mean, even at 26, I'm still discovering facets of my culture.
I find that very inspiring.

2. I'd say music. Most of the scenes I write have their own soundtracks
at the back of my head.

3. Dreams, both day & night ones

Usually, they just appear in my head. I have no clue how these ideas get there, but I'm glad when they do arrive.

That's only the first part, though. After that, I take the ideas and work them through little day dreams to see where those go. It may takes weeks to come up with something halfway decent. I always find that when you grasp the first inklings of an idea, to wait and flesh them out like this, otherwise, the story you arrive at will only be halfway done.

And as for ideas from dreams, I can't say that has ever worked for me. I do always have these great ideas when I'm about to fall asleep, but when I think about them more the next day, they really aren't that great.

Author Daniel Kamin, creator of the novel Ruby of the Realms. Never fear, more works are coming soon!
