Entry 01 - Yellow:

Suicidal Love.

Gots rainy eyes,
so lonely she

Her raindrops kiss
her rosy cheeks.

She tries to hide it,
yet all could see,
she's caged in life;
never free

She reached and grabbed;
desperately
to whatever's there.
whatever's seen,

A sharp point blade,
which now she holds
thrusted in the heart.
Deep it goes;

Then blood emerge.
Like a blooming rose;
A never-ending
petal flow.

Then thoughts flick back,
act solely mental.
Caused by painful truths,
we've drawn and stenciled.

As she points the blade,
that brings great concern,
She lets it drop,
since hope still yearns.

Farewell comes and drowns us in sorrow,
Farewell, my eyes can see no tomorrow,
Farewell , i say and turn to hide,
The tear that casually drifts in my eye

Gazing with eyes lost in the sky,
dreaming, the final hour arrives
Farewell, i shall say yet again,
mortals, who live on oblivious to pain

This world, i see with clear eyes,
Drowning, i leave no regret behind,
The time has come,my dear friends,
Farewell, this friendship comes to an end

"To Wish Upon a Star"

I once wished upon a star,
Wishing, begging for my despair to go away.
It blinked back at me, cold, heartless,
A reflection of the pathetic being it saw,
And only told me one thing
“You are hollow.”
What could I do but cry and moan at the sorrow that befell me.

I wished upon another star,
Gazing with hope that it would hear my plea.
Cold and heartless it replied to me,
“You are hollow.”
And how my pleas bounced in between my ribs,
like a tennis ball lost in a room of never ending walls.

I wished upon the last star of the night,
What else could I do?
Tears became a garden of agony on my cheeks,
I groveled and pleaded one last time,
“Help me I hate the pain” I sobbed,
“I want the guilt to go away.”
It stared back at me with a frozen and judging glare,
“You are hollow, hollow will you be.”
And so hollow will I be.

My vote goes to #3.
1) The idea behind it I like, but the broken English killed it for me.
2) The rhyming is a little off at points due to select word usage, but I liked the premise, just like I did for #1.
3) The use of free verse is an interesting choice, which isn't done often. It's a good theme and just flows together well.

I been watching this thread, well lurking it, for a while, I've read all the poems at least three times, and its hard to pick one ahead of the others.

I don't mind it being a tie, but if votes are still wanted. I'd be happy to bang my head some more and pick one to vote for.


Well I was stuck between 1 and 3, though I liked 2 as well, but gf says vote for 1.
