Entry 01 - Risuzu:

This place is forever the same
And it is a place without blame.
I am here for a special reason
To visit only in this season.
I come to look for a certain name.

I find her much the same as before
Between us there is much lore.
I kneel down and look upon her.
I start to speak to my lover,
But words fail me at my core.

So I start to weep there,
As around my face falls my hair.
She offers no comfort to me,
While before she would with glee.
The wind blows in this nightmare.

I stand up and look back to that spot
And I remember so clearly the shot.
She was taken away from me for good;
Her bones no longer looking how they should.
So I leave her tombstone, my love for naught.

the darkness whispers to me,
dear boy, what do you see
i answer back ,sadness etched in my face
death dear dark, death of my grace

Tis something i cannot avoid
Tis the truth of the world,
Death befalls all,be they young or old
Death comes at once,without a reason at all

Were you careful or not is something
you should not be debating when thee
are resting in the depths of the earth
says this sadly my spirit to me.

Love teaches us to love our selves
To teach others to love themselves
And teach those around us to love themselves and others

Love gives of itself,
Love sacrifices,
Love extends beyond boundaries
Love destroys fear and create a badge of courage

Entry 01 cause even though some of the words a bit plain,
a sense of story is there, threaded through emotion.

Big ups to everyone who entered.

I'm shit at poetry, so kudos to everyone who had the guts to enter.

#1 strong emotions flowing from it, loved the pair rhyming and how the last verse rhymes with the first and middle verse (what is that rhyming technique called?). Some rythm problems ?
#2 good use of words, and there was a good rythm. Dark and sad, really fitting. Some punctuation missing?
#3 very true what it conveyed
#4 it made me lol nice one

quite a beautiful poem while not being too reptitive with the "I"s and "you"s

I'm voting for number two since I'm a fan of the classical rhyming type. Though Dura's did make me smile.

Risuzu: It's a nice description of a cemetary or graveyard, has a sad feeling to it.

Avamo: It gives a sad feeling as well, but this is different than the one of Risuzu. In your poem it's like you're trying to give reason to why people die, because you've lost someone yourself.

ecchilover: It gives a strong, general explanation of love. Well said. xD


My vote goes to entry #1 (Risuzu). There are some things that could've been written better, but overall a good poem. ^^
