Default 3 Messages Received (STORY) - 10-07-2011, 04:15 PM

Have you ever received text messages saying you have won huge sums of money? How about a trip to Europe or Japan? Have you ever read such messages that you really thought was true? I have received three, But it's not about any lottery ticket or a trip around the world. it's about the story of reality... the story of our lives...

Toot... toot... toot..

There was a girl who has been going steady with her guy for about two years. Two long years have been shared but the guy never said the words "I love you" to his girl, even once. Doubts and confusion she felt. the girl kept on thinking for the reasons why. Three days later the girl was about to celebrate her 18th birthday. A splendid celebration was prepared for. Gifts came in different sizes and packages. Food in different delicacies were prepared. A number of people came to celebrate with her. But still, the girl stayed silent and sad. All she ever wanted was to hear the words "I love you" from her guy, but he never did. At last her boyfriend came. With no words said, he kissed his girl and gave her the gift. the girl who was so frustrated threw the gift away on the street. the guy, surprised by her reaction picked up the gift crying.. Until..."WWHAAACKK!!" the guy was hit by a raging car. Her boyfriend was dead. Tears poured out of her eyes wishing that maybe if she hadn't thrown the gift this wouldn't have happened. Maybe her guy would still be alive!.. In deep sorrow, the girl opened the gift and saw a teddy bear. She hugged it so tight that the recorded tape inside the bear played with the voice of her boyfriend saying "I love you... I truly do."

A couple was celebrating their 1st year anniversary. The guy gave his girl 3 dead roses with a card. The girl was so disappointed, threw the roses at his face and broke up with him. The guy who was clueless kept on crying. If only the girl read the card first maybe a year of love wouldn't have ended so soon. If only she didn't take that big step away from him then maybe their relationship would still last. Maybe if she only opened the card with the message saying: "This is me without you" Maybe they would still be together... If only...

A couple was riding a motorcycle on the way home. It was already 10:00pm and cold wind could be felt rushing around them. The guy suddenly asked the girl, "Baby, do you love me?" The girl surprised, answered "Yes, of course I do.. I truly do." Then the guy asked the girl to take the helmet off his head and put it on hers instead. For it was bothering his view and can't concentrate on his driving. Later he asked her to give him a hug for he was shivering from the cold. The girl feeling that they were going to fast told her boyfriend to slow down for it's worrying her. Then "WHAAACCKK!" The motorcycle hit a lamp post. The guy was found dead but the girl was still alive. The guy knew that the brake was not working so he asked the girl to put on his helmet and asked her to hug him so she will be protected. His great love for her saved the girl's life.

He should put those damned flowers in the letter. It's not makes sense why he gave them first. He trolled, but he found out his ex isn't that consequent and easily give up after 1 year.

I'm not that type too, who can say "i love you" easily. I want to keep it for special moments.

I know i shouldn't, but i laughed so much. Well, the love sometimes unfair and kill you. Somebody should (not the roses) die in the 2nd story too. Letter bomb? Somebody?

Will do, and I hope I'm not being demoralizing, since you should really keep it up . My questions may be far simpler than expected, but anyway, here goes -

What is this story actually trying to imply? What is the purpose of the mysterious sender? Where's the out -tro (intro - outro) of the story, should it end all of a sudden, without a sense of a maturing process? What about the receiver? He's supposedly the main character of the story - Does he mature throughout this story? If not, then what's the purpose of adding him? Couldn't you just type in "Story title 1, Story title 2 and Story Title 3? since nothing is really ever mentioned about the reciever.

Is this story a criticism on love, to be satisfied and to not doubt one's lover? maybe a criticism on reality, how sad reality is? Or, is the story merely a poignant vignette on love and reality, without the intention of implying anything other than enlightening us?

These are some of the things I found a bit unclear. But sadly I've gotta go to work now O_O.

Anyways, Cheers and Keep it up, practice makes perfect.

typical and tragic story. Ok.

1st message: the guy seems to be a coward. BUt more importantly, actions speak louder than words.

2nd message: Girls need to be direct with their emotions. And both of them are at fault. For the boy- needs to choose the gift properly. For the girl- don't judge easily...

3rd message: Its the boy's fault why did they crashed. Life is important. he should focus on the road. Lack of presence.

I just remembered that I confessed someone to ask her out.
