Currently reading the last two books Katherine Kerr released for the Deverry cycle ([Only registered and activated users can see links. ]) Man, am I hyped! Could not find them anywhere, had to order em online. It's your standard fantasy fare but from a different stand point which is reincarnation. The main characters are bound by their past lives, you know for every decision there is a price & all that. Was blown away when I first read from this series. Unfortunately, in it's strength also lies it's weakness. Without the charts @ the beginning, it kinda gets difficult to get the names straight.

PS. The song Jillian, from Within Temptation's album The Silent Force, is about the relationship between Nevyn and Jill, two of the main characters. I wish someone would sing a song about my work too!!!

I could do that for you when you actually get round to writing your own work of art. Been reading the confessions of a working girl, you should pop over and borrow it.It's comical and an unconventional read.

One book that I couldn't put down recently: Dust by Elizabeth Bear
It's definitely science fiction, with a lot of fiction for sure, but the author draws you right into it... I'm very picky about books that I will read. If I like it at all, I can't put it down. If I can put it down, I'll put it back on the store shelf and leave it

On a broken ship orbiting a doomed sun, dwellers have grown complacent with their aging metal world. But when a serving girl frees a captive noblewoman, the old order is about to change....

Thanks, Vanteya!

For those of you that like gothic books with a little bit of necromancy, there is a series of three that I was hooked on.
Sabriel, Lirael, and Abhorsen by Garth Nix.

Sent to a boarding school in Ancelstierre as a young child, Sabriel has had little experience with the random power of Free Magic or the Dead who refuse to stay dead in the Old Kingdom. Yaddayaddayadda...

I would recommend reading Lirael only after you've read Sabriel. Abhorsen was written so that you could understand it if you haven't read the first two.
