The pressure of a long-held breath escapes from
the bottom of my chest, it creates a hollow sound
that echoes across these fields and on top of blades of
grass.

These fields are my creation, my children, my only peace.
They are sanity, they make my world flow.

Tinges of red highlight the edges of my eyes; it is a beautiful
red, a crimson red, and my least favorite red.
Sleepless nights with that rosary by my side,
a cross-wielding torch to
the paper skeletons dancing in and out of my closet door.

A lock of jet-black hair flows untucked from behind
my ear, pale is my
skin, but it doesn't glisten. It is dull, like the ocean on
a cloudy day when the sun will not show its face.
Only by candlelight can my flesh shed, and from the shell
of a hollow egg be born a moth.

And this moth would be a stunning moth, with wings
of white powder laced with silver and black. It would
be perfect, my best creation yet.

I would make it my sanity, and my peace,
and my world would flow.
It would be everything I could never be.
Yes, It would flow like the summer breeze.

Yes, I wrote it myself, it took me a few days to complete it...just because I like my work to be perfect...at least to me anyway haha.
I am glad you liked it, not many people care for my work, I guess it's because half of them don't understand it XD
But yes, all my poetry (you'll be seeing a good bit of it probably) is written by myself. I may have some sort of inspiration to write it, but I never have people help me with my writing. I dunno why, I just like to do it myself.

i'm not saying it's bad, just that i don't understand it...

and maybe i just don't understand the poem, but it felt like to me that you changed topics too often. But once again, this might be from not getting the meaning of the poem. I am quite useless at poetry..

Yeah, alot of people have that problem, as I said above.
I think the problem is with me though, because all the meanings to my poems are so personal, sometimes I don't think about whether or not I am putting the meaning out there enough or if I am encoding it in the poem.
I love to encode things in my poems very often, a big setback for me, simply because it makes it to where people have no clue what I am talking about XD

I try not to be too hard on myself though, I mean, I've never had any sort of poetry lessons besides English classes at school.
I pretty much make up my own structure on my poems, which is no structure, and to be honest, I don't know an extreme amount about writing poetry.

So yeah, I could use alot of work.
