Chapter 1-2
“Katsuo! Hurry up!” came Ayaka’s excited call as she waved furiously to Katsuo who was casually walking up the town street, rows of Shops and Café’s lined up either side, some small homely ones and bigger corporate ones, the street was rather quiet today.
“Come on Ayaka, we have plenty of time” Katsuo said as he caught up to her.
“But I wanna get my uniform, it looks so cute” she said thinking about the white shirt and small girls jacket in cobalt blue to match the navy blue skirt, long white socks and brown shoes.
“Your like a kid” Katsuo said casually smiling at how happy she looked.
“Come on then!” she said and hooked her arms round his and pulled him along, Katsuo blushed slightly as he was dragged after her.
The two of them eventually reached the shop that specialized in uniforms and Ayaka was soon holding the clothes in her arms and entering the changing room at the back of the small shop. Katsuo looked at the male uniform in front of him on the hangers, a white button up shirt, with male jacket also in Cobalt Blue, with grey trousers and brown laced shoes. At that moment the sun came from behind a gap in the clouds, the light caught something and left a blue reflection in the corner of his eye, he covered his eye and went towards the light, he left the shop and walked up toward a shop opposite, it seemed like an antiques shop but the gem in the window looked out of place among the old junk. He looked at it closely through the shop window, at that moment it shne brightly and forced Katsuo to close his eyes. After a few seconds the light faded and he slowly opened his eyes, he looked around in shock as he found himself standing knee deep in a glowing pool of water, the world around him had changed significantly, he was in a clearing in the middle of a vast forest of Blue trees, all sculpted of sapphires.
Where the hell is this? Katsuo thought to himself. I was in the town a minute ago and now I’m here.
“I see you answered my call” came a girls voice from behind him, he turned quickly to see a girl, around his age sitting on the bank, her feet skating across the waters surface. She was quite a sight to behold, her long raven hair ran down onto the ground around her, her eyes were glistening in the light of the sapphires a beautiful Purple colour, she had distinctive pointy ears and was wearing a traditional shrine maidens outfit, her trousers purple in colour and she had two ribbons in her hair on either side of her head.
“Who are you?” Katsuo spoke calmly. “Where is this?”
The girl looked at him and gave a smile.
“You seem to have kept your cool, it’s rare to see that.” the girl said and slowly got to her feet, her hair left the ground and was draped down to the top of her thighs. She was around 5 foot, give or take a centimetre, though the kimono threatened to deceive, she seemed quite well endowed.
“You haven’t answered my questions.” Katsuo said “Who are you and what is this place?”
The girl entered the water and slowly walked towards him.
“I believe in your world it’s rude to ask a persons name before introducing yourself.” the girl said.
“…Katsuo, Katsuo Arai” he said.
The girl finally stopped a few feet in front of him. She looked him all over.
“I am Tomoyo” The girl said finally as she finished inspecting him “You are no longer in your dimension, the human dimension.”
“What?” Katsuo said disbelieving.
“Welcome to the cyber dimension, Katsuo Arai” she said dramatically, a smile on her face.
Katsuo seemed a little shaken, a bead of sweat ran down his cheek.
“How did you bring me here?” he asked again regaining his composure.
“You saw my gem I placed in your world” she said walking around him never looking away, the water rippled and made tiny waves as the water round her legs was displaced. It was then he saw a glint in her right hand, the same gem in the store window was clutched in it.
This is too weird. Katsuo thought I wouldn’t believe it if I wasn’t seeing this. But this cold water round my ankles, I feel it, this isn’t some sort of hallucination.
“Tomoyo, was it?” Katsuo asked her.
“Yes?” she responded as she was adjusting her hair near the ribbons casually.
“What do you need me for? You have a reason, right?”
Tomoyo slowly lowered her arms to her sides.
“I’m sure you know this, but violent crime has risen drastically in your area, right?” she asked.
“Yeah, I did see that on the TV recently”
“T…V…? What’s a TV?” Tomoyo asked curiously.
“Nevermind, I know of it, what’s that got to do with this?”
“Well the reason for that is…” Tomoyo started but she didn’t finish as she suddenly turned round splashing some water with the suddenness. Katsuo then noticed a scabbard tied round her waist, it was small so it didn’t show when she was facing him before.
“Something’s coming” Tomoyo said and her right hand slipped the gem into her pocket, she then grabbed the swords handle and pulled out a small sword with a flat uneven edge, it shone and sparkled among the shining of the sapphire trees.
“Stay behind me, this could get ugly.”
“what are you…?” Katsuo started but he soon heard why she said what she did, some strange noises were coming from all sides, getting louder as they approached.
