Dichotomy
I hope you know,
if I never again show
what I feel inside,
that I walk by your side - I stride.
I am between the tide
and the sky
right where the ocean
looks up at the heavens,
I am the cold in the snow,
the caress in the wind
that the summer days blow,
I am in the glow
of each flower as they grow,
I am the scent in the fresh cut grass,
I am the glitter in the broken glass,
I am the smile of strangers as they pass,
I am the grey
in a rainy day,
I am the air you breathe,
I am your heartbeat,
I am all around you
in a life that is free -
you now have me in everything you see.
I hope you know,
even if you decide to go
how my blood flows
mainly for you.
You are part of the streams
travelling to my dreams
and the echoes in my ears
chasing away my fears,
You are the soul in my eyes,
the truth behind my guise
and the conscience in my lies
that quietly voices the cries,
You are the lustre in my hair,
You are the rustling in the air,
You are the shade in the bright,
You are the warmth in a cold night
embracing me under my sheets,
You are the strength in my feet,
You are the movements of my hands,
You are the words on my tongue,
You are the contraction in my lungs,
You are each colour of the rainbow,
You are my shadow
that never leaves,
You are the air I breathe,
You are my heartbeat,
You are all around me
in a life that isn't free -
I have you in everything I guarantee.

It has been a while since I updated this thread. This is something I made a few months ago. I got the idea from a poem I read and the first bits are borrowed from the poem. Sadly, I can't remember the writer so proper credit cannot be given. >.<"
