My first poem in AT Here it is. I know there are errors but feel free to point out those haha.. just in time for Valentines day (though it's quite sad)


The night was calm and full of darkness
In my room I can feel nothing but coldness
As I sat by an open window to reminisce
A picture in my mind that defines happiness

It was a picture that's full of jubilee
Showing two people who seem so happy
But this photograph is not ordinary
An image of you and me, kept in my memory

Eight months and a half passed so quickly
Yet that day still lingers in my memory
The moment I said 'yes', i saw you smiled at me
You whispered 'I love you' and kissed me gently

Despite the blinding darkness of the night
Your love continuously shines its own light
I remember your hand holding mine so tight
I can feel your presence though it's out of sight

Obstacles came but we stick together
We overcome trials and became stronger
But memories of the past, you can't get over
We tried but failed so now it's over

This venture of love, I shall never forget
Even a single tear will cost no regret
Whatever happened, there's no space for hate
For I felt a love that's true and willing to wait

I'll forget about constructive criticism for awhile and congratulate you on a job well done . I knew that you can do it because most people who love reading poetry has the potential to write one as well. It's just a first leap and I will be there to read your progress. Best part for me:

Whatever happened, there's no space for hate
For I felt a love that's true and willing to wait

Like a poem you waited for the right time to put your heart in words. Hehehe.
