Lightbulb Sid Greene Works - 01-12-2011, 03:37 PM

The city wind is happily playing with a silent feather
While the eyes watch amidst such a fine weather
The children came out to join in this wild festivity
While the gamblers roll down with all the possibility
I dream of such a scene with a pain in my heart
For the angels always decide when I must depart
If I stay too long, my ears will bleed as I turn
While my empty stomach shout and yearn
The empty alleys is a church for a homeless drifter
For in it, the clock and shadows pass by swifter
The silent feather and I are one and the same
Floating in this streets amid buildings that have no name
Closed doors and empty words litter this highway
Hoping to find some solace and peace in my way
Kneeling amid the bright lights as I silently pray
And wait for my friend "death" would come one day

* I am looking for freinds with the same interest in writing poems. I have read some good poems here in Author's Post (Animetake) and I just want to share what I love to do as a hobby.

Hey, that was beautiful in a sad-ish lonely way. Love the rhyming to it.

Awww, that was really good! It started quite happy, then got sadder, and sadder... and sadder..... :'(
But it was sweet!

Thank you all for your inspiring replies. I will post another one once it is done. Fate can be cruel sometimes but there's always two sides in a coin and one of them is writing poems.

Cool Get It On! (poem) - 01-13-2011, 07:38 PM

I came in the right time and exact moment
Turned it on and waited to see what’s on it
With a childish giggle I went to the website
Busy as a bee I scanned what is there tonight
To my greatest fear and numbing wonder
Was it me or another one’s cursed blunder?
My eyes rolled left to the vigilant ticking clock
My eyes rolled right to the window straight to a block
Silence crept within me as my soul froze to a chill
I know myself and very sure what is that I truly feel
Where’s my favorite anime that should be in my sight?
I sense my body trembling and preparing for a fight
I will start punching my keyboards and wait a minute or few
And if it’s still not on, I will find and start hammering YOU!

A true story of an anime addict waiting at animetake.com
It’s true in life that patience is as golden as time
But to me a late upload is almost the same as a crime
For animes, in my life, are both entertaining and sublime

(Anyone who can relate to this just say so.)
