Default Otaku Wisdom - 01-21-2010, 06:52 AM

Most stories have a moral to them, and even animes can teach a lesson or two about life or living in general. I picked out a few scenes and quotes that are appropriate for philosophical deliberation but they only represent a small sampling of what's available. What else do you think classifies as Otaku wisdom?

Avalanche Wong
Silent Mobius
Episode 26
"To live through each day no matter what happens and leave a message for tomorrow. That's the purpose of life."

Tsubame
Rurouni Kenshin
Episode 12
"I won't be scared of the little things in life anymore, I'll hold onto my courage."

Akari
Aria the Origination
Episode 13
"When we walked, it felt like we were all on the same path. But everyone was on a different one. They're all walking on their own path right?"

Saito
Zero no Tsukaima S2
Episode 10
"Dying for the sake of honor is something an idiot does!"

Delfringer
Zero no Tsukaima S2
Episode 12
"Well, If your're going to die anyways, then do your best to act like a hero."

Misaka Mikoto
Toaru Majutsu no Index
Episode 10
"What are you doing, getting yourself all hurt, rolling around on this dirty concrete, your heart might've even stopped, too... Why can you even be smiling like that?"

Eva Heinemann
Monster
Episode 74
"It's useless to run away. What's important is to face the truth and put your best foot forward."

Anyone perchance know which episode from TTGL this quote by Kamina is from?
It goes a little something like this: 'Do you know why people have eyes in front of their heads? So that they look forward to the Horizon...'

The only people you need in your life is the one they need you in theirs..So I will always be beside you until the very end wiping all your tears away ..being your best friend ..I’ll smile when you smile & feel all the pain you do & if you cry a single tear I promise I’ll cry too

Got it!

Gurren Lagann
Kamina
Episode 6
"Do you know why people have eyes at the front?
It's to see the the vast landscape and to move forward...
If we had eyes in the back, we'd only see ourselves leaving our birthplace. That way people wouldn't
be able to move forward.
Our eyes are at the front, so that when we walk, the distant landscape draws closer.
That's why people can move forward."

"This is our Budokan!" from K-On!, it teaches us that everything in life can be disappointing.
