Yep it's in the manga too. They even pay him a compliment before the "Splat".
It's certainly not derogatory or racist. Yes he is getting his brains splattered but tastefully so. I would think the actor would be happy about the exposure. Kind of like being happy you get a cameo in a Star Trek episode even though you are one of the extra "Red Shirt Guys". If the show gets pulled because of this, that's it I'm canceling my vacation to Seoul and no more kim chee for me. |

Simple, they dont need to show/air it in Korea. I have seen some anime embarrassing other countries like America, for example Read or Die which they shown american president wet his pant and acting very stupid and cowardly and yet it still shown in America. So probably just that Korean is too sensitive or something.
But to be honest if it was me or my friends drawn into anime zombie character and get blown into pieces, i will be fine with it, but if it was my family, yes i ll be offended. And if i m offended by that movie/anime, i just wont watch it. So if Korean feel offended by HOTD anime, then they dont need to bother watching it. |
