I watched Season 1 and 2 when they first aired, so it's been some time for me. If I remember correctly in Season 2, Hei didn't have his powers and in the 4th OVA Yin was taking everyone's blue spirits (dunno what they're called) and for a split second, you see a blue spirit leaving Hei yet he's still alive. So, is Hei's sister (who's merged within him and the real Contractor) dead? I'm assuming that's why he lost his powers right?

in s2 if i remember they used a machine to take away his powers in the first ep of s2 hes usin his powers he kills that black chick i think

maybe the contractor in him was taken away, but the powers stayed? lol if thats possible

I think his power somehow went into Suou's meteor shard...

I liked these OVAs. Hei with powers is awesome. Hei without powers is.....well he isn't as awesome but still he's good.

I doubt that he loses them because of what happens in the 4th OVA because he still has his ability until he gets hit by the machine during episode....2? 3? of season 2.

Hei's always been a bit of an odd case, since he both was and was not a contrator at the same time which lets the writers get away with whatever they feel like. Still its possible they'll explain it at a later date, (a lot of the stuff in the OVA explained or expanded upon what happened in the series)

I think that's what happened. Since everyone who had the blue spirits taken died and a blue spirit did leave Hei. Sigh, I wished they released the OVAs first before airing Season 2.

agreed about season2, not so much with the OVA. They killed off one of the most intersting characters in the first episode. Not happy

Hei being a contractor and not a contractor at the same time has something to do with his sister if im not wrong. This anime is really confusing.
