Mamoru Oshii? Avalon? That was an amazing movie. Although seeing that you didn't the the 2 amazing GITS movies, it's no wonder you didn't like Avalon. (I guess you don't agree with philosophical and heavy undertones)
Oh and OP, looks like you haven't watched 2nd GITS movie, go watch it! Rarely they make a sequel that is as good if not better than the original.
