The artwork and design MUST HAVE been done by Nakamura Yusuke. I've been following this guy's artwork for about 4 years now, and now that his art is making a debut in an actual anime it's HUGE news to me and his fans.

His stuff is obviously not aimed towards the anime genre, he did pretty much all the album cd covers for AKFG. But the style is so creative and ahead of its time I guess Madhouse took the initiative and did something with it. Shame they don't even mention his name, the director gets all the attention =_=.

I never would have guessed his style would have been put into an anime format. When I saw that little square image next to the download links, I must have done a double-take and then when I downloaded it I watched the opening 4 times just to make sure it was indeed his art style. Hearing AKFG doing the opening was kind of a dead giveaway too....

But I don't think the anime community is ready for this =P. I doubt many viewers would actually understand how awesome Nakamura is... the community is mostly made up of naruto, bleach, and one piece fans =P Not to mention the massive amount of shoujo fans.
