Default How would you describe your anime watching habits. - 03-17-2009, 12:06 AM

I for one tend to binge for a week or so. Watching several series and then not watching any for a month. I still remember the conversation I had the the person who recogmened CG to me the day after. It went something like this:

Me: Hey.
Her: Hi.
Her: How far into CG are you?
Me: Just finished.
Her: Wow...
Me: R2
Her:...

I never really followed 'running' shows, until this season. So I could go watch at whatever pace I wanted, and it filtered alot of the crap off my watch list.

I was just wondering if this was normal. I've always had a hard time putting down a book I was reading, and to a lesser extent a game I was playing. So maybe its just a little quirk of mine. Anyway, how about you guys?

Hehe, that's why I watch alot of anime on my laptop. Nothing slows me down. There's times I finished a series or ran outta eps, slow torrents are slow, only to realize I'd gone all day without eating.

Maybe that’s the problem; all my friends are jealous of my free time. So they try and make me feel like a freak.

<-- ...HOLiC

I have a horrible tendency to watch only one series, five to ten eps at a time until its done. HSD: Kenichi in 6 days (four of which were my days off and I was too sick to do much else) Spice and Wolf in three days (while I was working... really tired at work lol) I think I finished CG (+ R2) in under two weeks.

Yes, the same thing happens when I'm really into a book or a manga. A typical GREAT book (I don't like 'good' books haha) is read in about three days or less. When I start reading manga I end up taking a break to get a drink and noticing I have to go to work in a few hours!

"Life is a riot!"
Try saying that 10,000 times a day!
You'll go really insane and forget all your worries!

I have a combination of the two. I have the constant shows like the news ones airing this season, and in between I'd binge on a batch I've downloaded onto my external but haven't yet watched. Everyone has their own pace. I don't think there is a "normal" pace per say. But there are definitely extraordinary ones. a 12 hour marathon isn't unheard of. Just takes some planning, some popcorn, and a nice good position to stay in for that long. lol
