"Anime needs to get back to the times of originality like Mushishi!!" Shall we forget that the year Mushishi came out there were 100 garbage series as well? Quote:

Do you really percieve yourself as standing upon that high of a pedestal? And #2 is a comment you serioulsy need to be telling yourself. It seems that regardless of how intricately I explain something, you're going to just be a clydesdale marching down the street while leaving piles of crap behind you. Quote:

This thread isn't about me feeling superior to anyone, this thread is about a notable regress within the anime community that I so adore. I do not feel "intellectually superior" to you. "People like me"? People with opinions and who can provide reasoning for those opinions? You have absolutely no reason to be upset with me but you, a moderator, have shown up and antagonized me for having the audacity to share an opinion. I don't think moderators should be doing that. |

Only in one post to Kurosaki (number 25) and the last one do you argue against the correct point by arguing that the anime industry has always been full of crap. Everywhere else, you argue that many anime (including anime that Saecryd lists as good) aren't original or deep but are still good, and more recent posts stating that people's opinions differ. But Saecryd is arguing more about the loss of innovation and substance in anime in general over time and its effects on the industry. They sound similar but are different. I'm saying that you are throwing arguments that differs from Saecryd's original point (he/she actually acknowledges many of your arguments to be true, but you don't seem to be getting this.) If you think Saecryd is talking about what you are talking about (originality/intelligence), feel free to quote him. As you said, the thread stands as evidence. I know I can find many quotes that support my interpretation of Saecryd's argument. Aren't you the one holding yourself on a pedestal by not checking whether my argument is true, but only stating "I already explained it and you don't get it and that's your problem, after all I can't be flawed in my interpretation of what people are saying since I already read it once"? Every time someone posted a viewpoint in response to mine, I honestly evaluated my position and asked whether I was incorrect or not, and looked through the thread to find quotes to support my conclusion. I doubt my words will be received properly, but I tried. (<-- this is me being pretentious right?) Edit: Let me make this clear. I am not bashing your opinion or anyone else's. I simply find moe to be unappealing (which leads me to use the term moe-trash) and I find moe-shows to be void of substance other than moe, which leads me to dislike the show. This doesn't mean that I think everyone that likes moe are idiots, just that they have tastes that I cannot comprehend. I am actually open minded, and not some "cynic" who belittles everyone else's opinions. This argument wasn't even about opinions until people began to zealously post BE OPEN MINDED ABOUT OPINIONS. You however seem to be determined that I am such a person and that you are infallible in your judgement of my character. |
