During 1998-2005 there were an average of 40 anime shows per season, but when you look at 2006-2010 there is an average around 15-20, so there is something about losing ideas or the economic recession effecting the Japanese economy. When gg interviewed a translator for crunchy a few weeks ago, he said pretty much the same thing. The recession is affecting the anime industry and that's why there are less shows during the new seasons.
For most of us though, we only really care about whether
or not our favorite fansubs get raws to translate for us right?
