put them on dvds, on external hdd and keep on my pc the ones i am watching at the moment

Well, I have sorted 'em according most fitting genre of series, and there is a folder for every single series within genre-folder.
I would give a sreenshot, but genres' names are in Finnish.
Oh, almost forgot to mention; they are on external hard drive.

In folders alphabetically but most of em are on DVD's

well yea i keep mine on a external hdd and a back up on my other external hdd but i couldnt fit all my anime on 1 photo.........as for what i do like any intelligent person i put them in a folder with the animes name on it. is there really much else u can do?

I have them in an external hdd with the name of the anime on each folder.... once the hdd is full.......I burn them into a DVD...

I name the folder properly and have it list alphabetically.
1 folder on a 1 TB internal HD for "Completed Anime".
1 folder on 1/2 TB in. HD for anime I'm currently watching/plan to watch.

That's it. Simple. Pictures would be kool I guess...

Anime Folder - Animes
ant that's it
i dont really put them in category
well that is except if the anime has several kinds of OVAs or Movies
so i just add some folders in the anime itself and rename them w/e it should be lol
