-Ranma 1/2 (disappointed ~ at the end it's like nothing...but lots of romance)

-REC (the girl slept with the guy @ ep1 ... what else is there to watch?)

That's not an uncommon start for a romance - in the real world, that is.
I don't know why it's common in Japanese Romance Animes that the first kiss between the two protagonists is the end of the story. As if a kiss meant a damn thing.

Hmm...True. Possibly the second series on my "Favourite Romance Anime" list.
If Skip Beat counts as a true romance anime... I liked it for the comedy.
Which kind of tells us that this genre doesn't really have that many good animes.
Btw... do Welcome to the N.H.K. and Ecchi/ Harem animes count as Romance animes? If so, I'd have to revise my list.

love hina is one of my favourite romance anime, toradora was pretty epic, hayate as well, mainly all of rei's romance animes are great,

I don't think it to be all that good either, rather mediocre, but for a Romance anime it's actually quite good.
