No, the anime Death Note simply does not imply that any other creature lives in the Universe that is intelligent. Also, just because it's written there, doesn't neccesarily mean it can't be done, as Ruk or whatever his name was didn't think about all of the possibilities. It was there to mean you couldn't kill a Shikigami with the Death Note. Any mortal creature could be killed with the Death Note I think.
And I said Goku because he's a dolt. Gohan could probably be offed the same way, maybe even Krillin. |

You're not arguing logically.
First of all, that rule implies you can't kill animals using the Death Note, as animals are clearly a part of the Death Note universe. And animals are closer to humans than saiyajins. Saiyajin are aliens after all. Furthermore you'd have to ask yourself how you define intelligence. Can you destroy a PC that has a name using the Death Note? Life and thinking are merely chemical processes. If you can kill a saiyajin using a Death Note, you can also destroy planets using a Death Note. |

Erm, saiyajins are closer to humans than any animal on Earth, since you can successfully breed with half-saiyajin. So if we want to think logically, yes, it is very likely he could be killed with the Death Note.
The second part of your post reminds me of a program on the Drake Equation. Even though many creatures on Earth are "intelligent", intelligence for the Drake Equation is the ability to be able to communicate across space. |

Also, Kira couldn't kill Goku since writing Goku wouldn't work. His name is Kakarot and Vegeta is the only one who calls him this by the end of the series. |

It's obvious that their bodies have to be extremely different. If you do not limit the Death Note's ability to humans only you'll be hardpressed to limit it at all, as there can't possibly be a definition for "intelligence" or even "life" that'll fit both humans and saiyajins and not include loads of things that can obviously not be killed/destroyed by a Death Note. |

You say to argue logically, then you say they are extremely different even though they can breed. Not only breed, but produce offspring which are not sterile. That makes humans and Saiyajins almost the exact same species.

Fact 1: Saiyans can transform into giant apes, have a tail, don't age like humans, are stronger and tougher to an extent that makes almost certain their muscles aren't at all build like ours. Furthermore they are from a different planet. -> They are extremely different from humans. Fact 2: For some reason they are able to breed with humans. Logically combining Fact 1 and Fact 2: Even extremely different species can produce offspring in the Dragonball Universe. |

You're right, logic =/ science. However, you're the one who brought it into the conversation by mentioning animals. And except for philosophy, science > logic. Regardless, you're set in your way that Goku is immune, which I scientifically believe to be false, based on the facts known. The answer could never actually be known and someone would wish Goku back to life anyway since DBZ was the first "Our main characters are never stopped by death" shounen manga/anime.
