obviously the purpose of this thread is to say what you think is the best samurai anime you have seen

for me the best samurai anime out there is Rurouni Kenshin, Samurai Champloo though is one of my favourites but it has more comedy than action compared to Rurouni Kenshin but both are amazing

i agree with you that it is really epic but the original series is good as well, it has both the amazing action and the comedy that is lacking in the OVAs

They said samurai anime. I wouldn't class bleach as a samurai anime, despite the fact that they have swords.

IMO a samurai anime is one thats set in the past in the samurai era, or where they simply use swordplay rather than special powers to fight.
