Default 'Magical' feelings from Anime - 12-06-2009, 06:11 PM

i used to get 'magical' or an awsome feeling everytime after i just watched the opening of each episode of bleach as well as the episode itself, i used to look forward towards my weekly dose of bleach now i just watch it out of loyalty and some times just skip epsiodes for a couple of week, i dont know how it explain it but something is seriously missing usually after the opening im pumed up to watch the ep but now im not really bothered or excited its like lets get this over with (anima rossa is a good op but i dont really think it should be used for a bleach op)

i recently started to watch Nabari no Ou, now thats a series that gets me pumped up after watching just the opening am i get the so called 'magic' feeling from it

to get to the point do you feel like somethings missing when you watch anime that you used to enjoy and do you think that the 26+ episode format just drags on personally i have actually never managed to watched a series with 50+ eps, i been wanting to watch gundam seed for long time just can't be bothered (with the exception of gundamm 00 and code geass which had breaks between each season wich were 25 eps, and bleach and naruto which are long running series i never watched all of naruto only upto ep 110 and i skipped alot of eps in the middle)

I know what you mean brah. That sense of a peculiar attachment to the opening theme because of its enticing choreography that always adheres to the song overall. The feeling you get from watching the series is like relayed through that song is astounding, which is why I download all the opening and closing themes. Kinda like when you listen to Colors you get that nostalgic feeling.

i used to get that feeling during the first seasons of bleach, naruto and one piece but now i am only excited to watch one piece, not so much for the rest, probably due to the long fillers.

also i got that feeling when i watched tengen toppa gurren lagann and code geass, i couldn't stop watching but i also didnt want it to end, those two are the two epic anime that i just cant get enough from them.

i also got that feeling from several other anime like toradora, fma(both of them), and zero no tsukaima and shakugan no shana but not the same as the ones mentioned above

At the end of the day, as much as I love bleach, it's just too long to retain that feeling all the way through, ame with naruto. However there are moments when it comes back, such as jiraiya vs pein, itachi vs sasuke and ichigo vs grimmjow (all of them )

Tengen toppa and code geass are examples of amazing animes that keep you gripped all the way through.

Manga is different though, it's actually good. It creates so much more suspense than the anime imo.

With the New opening of Naruto Shippuden it's always sad to see Jiraiya in the screen; especially when he is trying to help Naruto and the village.
