for me personally, any song KOTOKO sings is usually pretty awesome, she did the opening and the insert song in kannazuki no miko. Minori chihara is very talented she did the ga-rei zero opening, nana mizuki did the lyrical nanoha openings and she has a great voice. T.M revolution has some pretty good songs, they sang the soul eater opening as well. Uverworld are insanely talented, i like the bleach 2nd opening they did. last but not least asian kung fu generation with their 4th FMA opening and 3rd naruto opening, haruka kanata and rewrite respectively.

I can't stand ali project. All their songs are the same thing, and i hate them all equally.
As for me, I don't have a favorite j-pop singer... but if I had to pick one I think I would say Utada hikaru or Chiaki Ishikawa.
And as a matter of fact, I actually dislike most of the op/ed songs, and I found myself skipping them most of times.

Nobody can stand Ali-Project. Hearing their songs is like getting a bible shoved up our asses.
I also find myself skipping most of the OP/EDs, unless they are from ABS =P

Lol @ Rin's post.
It's true though, I like all kinds of music but I could only enjoyed a few Ali Project songs.
The rest just sounds the same. Speaking of OSTs, Samurai Champloo was awesome.

How can people like samurai champloo's?? It's one of the worst ost i've heard... and that's no small feat at all.
Except for 3-4 songs, the rest of them (and it's 4 cd's) are made without instruments (in other words, lame sounds made with a computer/keyboard), and consist of 5-8 seconds of "music" (or something like that) that are repeated unchanged for like 4 minutes.
How can people like that ost that much is trully something I just can't understand.

Well, I kind of agree with Titens again: Champloo's OST wasn't great BUT it managed to fit the whole series. Now, CG probably had the best fitting OST.

2nd opening of Darker than black was amaizing, and also newest opening of Shakugan no Shana S. In some ways anime OP-s and ED-s are far better than "american" music. I almost forgot 1st opening of Shakugan no Shana Second and Fate Stay Night and Kara no Kyoukai OST-s
