I'm guessing the title says it all but for lack of someting to do besides braiding my hair, I'll go ahead & explain. Ehem... I've watched the series, Visions of Escaflowne. Somehow, I completely missed the movie though. Heard it was by made by BONES, is that true? Is it any good? If you had to pick the better one, which would it be?

Lol, well about opinion...Sorry...Can't help you there...I haven't watched it yet. I don't think I will either. There's something about the old style of anime that doesn't sit well with me. Escaflowne is right in between where anime began to diverge away from the Disney style and the characters are greatly influenced by the fashion styles present in the 80s and 90s. Too old for me. Even if the storyline is amazing, it's just too hard for me to sit through. But I'm sure some of the animeblogs will have reviews on it.

Series MUST be better, cause it's longer. More story.

I have no proof. But like name one movie that was better then the series.

! There are 3 different versions of this anime. And the movie is a new version entirely.

So watch it anyway. =)

its been a few years since ive watched either so dont expect a good reply from me on the details. Sure the series has a better storyline cuz of all the room it is given. Expect that. But the quality from the movie is much better. The story is a bit different from the series altogether but the general idea is still there along with the characters and all. For me, i disliked the series, but i actually enjoyed the movie when i had watched it. In fact my sis says the same thing and traded for the movie collection i had of it.
