First Impression:

The first thing that ran through my mind during the opening looking at those huge bugs was..Star Ship Troopers. Then when i saw the Cities in the dome i thought of Big-O and the final fantasy CG movie. Ultimately this is a unique show due to all of the concepts packed into one series. Hell, when those military arts students were fighting in front of the school and one of the guys said "restoration" and materialized a weapon out of thin air, I was thinking Di-swords from Chaos Head. This is one of those series that you cant expect whats gonna pop out next because of the setting. Alien bugs? School Setting? Domed Cities? and a cast of mysterious characters all add to the bizarre concoction. I was pleased with the animation quality as the fight scenes were a bit over the top with flashy lights and explosions and stuff. The Background music during the fight was a nice touch and added that futuristic apocalyptic techno vibe that fits perfect with the setting. Im interested to see how the the main character (Reifon) will fit all into this. You have a few Moe characters here and there but its not really overwhelming to the point that you can say "THATS SO MOE, MOTE MOTE MOE MOE" and the introduction to the characters was at a steady pace. Im not sure where all these magical powers are coming from but, given this was the first episode, of course theirs gonna be some unanswered question to keep viewers interested and whatnot. If your looking for something different out of the norm you might wana check this series out. You might be glad you did. As for me, I intend to watch a few more episodes. It got my attention, did it get yours?

FFVII popped in my head.. (domed cities, bikers.. even how that guy sliced through the Limbeekoon(?) resembled how Cloud sliced through Behemoth(?) in the Advent Children movie, he didn't finish it all the way, but still) expecting a boss fight soon lol

Karian Loss, the student council president(?) and Jade Curtiss of Tales of the Abyss, same seiyuu, no wonder it got my attention

The first thing that popped into my head after I watched the movie was that the blondie with the short hair is awesome and that I should find doujin of her.

Anyhow, it was okay, the protagonist is quite manly and is of my taste so shouldn't too bad of an anime.

It was cool... A littel confusing... But cool. I guess their powers will be explained later. But the idea is abit... Hmmm. Iffy? Battling against mindless beetles. I guess it's interesting enough to keep me going.

I really like the first episode, but the second one wasn't that good. Not only the animation quality dropped, but it was also a very unoriginal and uninteresting episode, unlike the first one.
I'm not even close to dropping it, since I do enjoy it a lot, but I'm already fearing that it'll probably be just one more anime in my long list.

I think Reifon is pretty cool. He actually reminds me of myself more than any anime character ever.....which is only slightly scary.

The way weapons/battles are handled is fun. As far as I can see, everyone has their own personal weapon, and then they have standard-issue ones for training and such. Then they have those magical powers(Kei?). It kinda reminds me of Bleach. Just a little. >.>

If you treat everyone with kindness, then no one is special.
...I try anyway.

Amidst the blue skies, a link from past to future. The sheltering wings of the protector...
