Just noticed this in the fall 2009 chart. The manga artists for death note, bleach and prince of tennis are collaborating on this adaptation of 4 classic japanese novels, so it's sure to look amazing. Anyone else heard anything about this?

Synopsis
An adaptation of six Japanese literary works by famous authors:
No Longer Human (Ningen Shikaku) and Run, Melos! (Hashire, Melos) by Osamu Dazai,
Kokoro by Natsume Souseki,
Hell Screen (Jigoku Hen) and The Spider's Thread (Kumo no Ito) by Ryunosuke Akutagawa
and In the Forest, Under Cherries in Full Bloom (Sakura no Mori no Mankai no Shita) by Ango Sakaguchi.

Manga artists Takeshi Obata (Death Note), Takeshi Konomo (Prince of Tennis), and member Kubo (Bleach) will be involved with the production.

I hope it won't detract from bleach though. I guess this thread was a bit premature, but upon hearing those 3 were working together I was a bit amazed

It's not really premature. In about 2 weeks, the show is going to air anyways. I like the whole literature to manga idea, it's a popular trend now. Most authors is in the supernatural genre have been getting their novel manga-nized (again, ignore the English mutilation)

Just reviving this thread seeing as the first episode is out. What did you guys think?
I could definitely see Obata Takeshi's (Death Note) artwork here, the main chara resembled yagami light quite a lot in his looks.

The story was a bit weird, but gripping at the same time. Looks like it's going to be a good one.

Reminds me of Mouryou no Hako,heavy on the atmosphere front and really good character designs.
The premise looks mysterious but I have no Idea which direction the show will take!
I'm atleast hooked till episode2.
