So everyone suspected it was coming way back since forever, but as of today ADV is no more. [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

Guess it's time to watch out for DVD sales. Of course there may be an up side to this (for people like me)... Clannad and Princess Resurrection may actually get dubs depending on who got the licenses.

Wondering who Valkyrie Media LLC is since they seem to have acquired The Anime Network.

Also, I found it rather surprising that this happened at the exact same time the English version site of AkibaBlog shut down (that happened today too in case anyone didn't already know).

Ahh, I still remember being a kid when I first got into anime and browsing through the online ADV store. Those were the days. So carefree...

I feel we lost something great today... At least nostalgic.

hmmm Im not sure what to make of this. I guess it doesnt matter. ADV was kind of the loser of the business in America. Funimation is still my preffered choice I suppose.

Did Funimation exist in the early 90's?

Haha. You also double posted. Careful with that. But still, it was a loss. And I never liked Funimation itself.

The only thing that concerns me are the employees, but from what I hear most if not all are being picked up by other companies ("other companies" I suspect means Funimation).
