the anime series wasnt that bad until their studio budget was low and had to do a really cheap episodes for the ending but the two parted movie was good
i remember watching it as a kid, i got terrified and never wanted to watch it again til
this year
the recent movies are however so much better!

The problem I had with End of Evangelion was the rather confusing and bizarre open ending.Now I have nothing against open endings and I even think the end of EOE was brilliant but because it can be interpreted in a number of ways,it tends to leave the viewer unsettled.

After all that emotional investment in the characters and to come away with an ending left to one's own interpretation personally left a bad taste in my mouth.This is what I hope the movies fix by giving us a solid ending.

That said EVA2.0 was a fantastic movie.They made a total wuss like Shinji Ikari look like a complete Badass...which let me tell you is no mean feat.
